The online listing allows you to select a colour combination and car variant before adding the mats to your cart.

Before ordering, confirm your vehicle's exact variant, the included mat pieces and delivery availability for your PIN code. This is particularly important for model-specific accessories, where the shape of the driver-side floor area must match the vehicle correctly.

What Makes Star 7D Car Floor Mats Different?

The Star 7D range uses a layered design that combines a softer PVC base with a removable spike-textured upper mat. The upper section attaches using clips, allowing it to be removed separately for cleaning.

According to Elegant Auto Retail's published specifications, the product offers:

• Waterproof construction: Designed to protect the original carpet against everyday moisture and spills.
• Anti-skid backing: Intended to reduce unwanted movement during driving.
• Detachable top layer: Makes routine cleaning more convenient.
• Custom-fit shape: Quilted, reinforced edges designed for vehicle-specific floor coverage.
• Odourless material: A stated product feature.
• Easy-clean PVC coating: Helps make surface stains easier to wipe away.

The product also carries a one-year warranty covering colour fading, pilling and manufacturing defects, subject to the seller's warranty terms.

Unlike a simple flat carpet mat, this combination is intended to provide decorative cabin coverage while offering a removable surface for routine dirt removal.

How Much Do Tata Aeris Car Floor Mats Cost in India?

How to Choose the Right Star 7D Mats for Your Aeris

1. Confirm the exact vehicle fit

Vehicle-specific fitting is more important than a decorative pattern. Ask the seller to confirm compatibility with your Aeris variant and production year.

The published product page does not provide individual floor dimensions in centimetres or a detailed diagram showing every supplied piece. Confirm these details before purchasing rather than assuming a universal set will fit.

2. Select a practical colour

Star 7D mats are listed in 14 colour combinations, including Black-Black, Black-Red, Black-Blue, Beige-Black, Tan-Tan and Brown-Beige.

Black-based combinations are practical if you regularly travel with children, carry muddy footwear or want less visible staining. Beige and tan combinations can complement lighter interiors but may need more frequent attention.

3. Consider your driving conditions

For urban commuting, detachable upper mats make it easier to remove accumulated dust. During monsoon months, waterproof construction becomes especially useful.

However, waterproof material does not mean that water can never escape around the edges. Floor coverage, installation and the amount of standing water still matter.

4. Check driver comfort and pedal clearance

A properly fitted mat should sit flat without curling beneath your shoes or limiting accelerator, brake or clutch operation.

Avoid stacking a new mat over an existing loose floor mat. Extra thickness can create unwanted movement or interfere with pedal travel.

Star 7D vs 5D vs Regular Carpet Mats

Buying factor	Carpet mats	5D mats	Star 7D mats
Main appeal	Simple floor covering	Shaped floor protection	Layered decorative protection
Cleaning	Vacuuming or brushing	Depends on material	Removable upper layer
Moisture resistance	Material-dependent	Model-dependent	Waterproof material claimed
Floor-edge coverage	Varies	Usually shaped	Quilted reinforced edges
Buying consideration	Price and washability	Fit and material	Fit, clips and layer maintenance

The terms 5D and 7D are commercial product descriptions, not independently standardised quality ratings. Inspect the actual construction before treating one label as superior.

How to Install Star 7D Floor Mats Safely

Installation should begin with removing the existing loose mats and thoroughly cleaning the footwell.

1. Identify the driver-side, passenger-side and rear sections supplied with the set.
2. Position each base mat against the vehicle's floor contours.
3. Check that edges sit securely without folding.
4. Attach the detachable spike layer using the supplied clips.
5. Move the driver's seat through its normal adjustment range and check for interference.
6. With the vehicle stationary and safely secured, verify full pedal movement and return.

If a mat shifts, catches a pedal or obstructs seat movement, do not drive with it installed. Contact the seller for fitment assistance.

How to Clean and Maintain Your 7D Mats

The detachable upper section makes routine maintenance relatively simple.

Remove accumulated dry dirt with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Unclip the upper layer when a more thorough clean is necessary, then wipe the PVC base using a damp microfibre cloth and a mild cleaning solution compatible with the material.

Avoid harsh solvents, stiff brushes and excessive heat. Allow every layer to dry completely before reinstalling it, and check the clips for wear or damage.

Common Mistakes When Buying Car Mats Online

Many disappointing purchases begin with overlooked fitment or ordering details rather than obvious material defects.

Pre-purchase checklist

0/5 checked

I have confirmed the exact Tata Aeris variant and model year.

I have checked which floor sections are included.

I have reviewed the driver-side pedal clearance requirements.

I have selected a suitable colour combination.

I have checked delivery, payment and return conditions.

Also, do not assume that a higher price guarantees a safer fit, that every 7D product includes the same layers, or that cash on delivery always means no advance payment.
