Tata Sierra Legend Series Launched in India: Price, Variants, Features and What’s New
Tata Motors has expanded the Sierra line-up with the new Tata Sierra Legend Series, bringing additional comfort, convenience and premium cabin features to lower and mid-level variants. Prices for the new Legend Series start at ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and extend up to ₹19.49 lakh, depending on the variant, engine and transmission.
For buyers who like the new-generation Sierra but want more equipment without immediately moving to the highest trim, the Legend Series creates several new choices. Here’s what has changed.
What Is the New Tata Sierra Legend Series?
The Legend Series is not an entirely different Sierra. Instead, Tata has introduced more feature-rich versions of existing lower and mid-spec variants, identified by an “L” suffix.
The range consists of five trim levels: Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. The existing Sierra variants continue to be sold alongside the Legend Series. Across different engine and gearbox combinations, the Legend range adds 18 configurations.

The entry-level Smart+ L petrol manual costs ₹11.99 lakh, while its diesel manual version is ₹13.49 lakh. Moving up the range, the Pure L petrol manual starts at ₹13.79 lakh, while Pure L (O) petrol manual costs ₹14.29 lakh.
The Pure+ L petrol manual starts at ₹14.99 lakh, and Adventure+ L petrol manual is priced at ₹16.99 lakh. At the upper end, the Adventure+ L turbo-petrol automatic costs ₹18.99 lakh, while the Adventure+ L diesel automatic reaches ₹19.49 lakh. These are ex-showroom prices.
More Premium Features Without Going Straight to the Top Variant
This is where the Legend Series becomes interesting.
The Smart+ L adds leatherette seats and trim, steering-mounted controls, auto-folding ORVMs and roof rails.
Move to the Pure L, and equipment includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen, eight-speaker audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear-view camera, cruise control, TPMS and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Pure L (O) adds desirable features such as a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.
Pure+ L Focuses More on Interior Comfort
For buyers particularly interested in cabin comfort, the Pure+ L is a notable addition.
It brings a full leatherette interior, ventilated front seats, six-way powered driver's seat, thigh-support extender and Boss Mode. Tata has also equipped it with dual-zone automatic climate control and two 65W USB-C charging ports for rear passengers.
This makes the Legend Series particularly relevant for buyers who spend significant time in their vehicle and prioritise seat comfort and cabin features.
Adventure+ L Brings More Technology
The Adventure+ L moves further up the technology ladder with equipment including a 360-degree surround-view camera, terrain modes, front parking sensors, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation.
It also includes ambient lighting, wireless charging, a cooled glovebox and a reclining rear seat.
Petrol, Turbo-Petrol and Diesel Options Continue
Tata has retained multiple powertrain choices for the Sierra Legend Series.
The range includes a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Manual and automatic transmission choices are available depending on the selected engine and variant.
So buyers are not restricted to one engine simply because they want the additional Legend Series equipment.
Safety Remains an Important Part of the Package
According to the launch information, the Sierra comes standard with six airbags, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake and disc brakes on all four wheels. Tata also states that the Sierra is based on a five-star Bharat NCAP-rated body structure.
Higher Legend variants add more driver-assistance and parking technology, including the 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring on Adventure+ L.
Buying a New Tata Sierra Legend? Think About Interior Protection Early
With the Legend Series putting greater emphasis on leatherette upholstery, powered seating, ventilated front seats and a more premium cabin, new owners may also want to think about keeping that interior in good condition.
Frequently used areas such as the seats and floor are naturally exposed to dust, muddy footwear, food crumbs, accidental spills and everyday wear.
For owners who want additional protection, Tata Sierra seat covers and Tata Sierra floor mats can be considered according to the vehicle's seat configuration and floor dimensions. Importantly, accessories should be compatible with the specific Sierra variant and should not obstruct airbags, seat controls, ventilation or other safety and comfort functions.
Is the Tata Sierra Legend Series a Major Update?
The important point is that this is primarily a feature and variant expansion rather than a completely redesigned Sierra. The existing model continues, while the Legend Series gives customers additional equipment combinations at several price points.
For prospective Sierra buyers, that means there are now more ways to prioritise features such as a panoramic sunroof, leatherette interior, ventilated seats, larger displays, powered seating and 360-degree cameras without relying only on the previous variant structure.
